The Junior, Middle and Serior Schools at Alphington Grammar School are located at one convenient location. There is a seamless transition between these schools. In Pre-Prep, students develop motivation and enthusiasim for learning about themselves and the world around them. We nurture a love of learning and focus on foundation work in Numeracy and Literacy.

At Alphington Grammar, students undertake specialist learning programmes with educational experts from Pre-Prep. At this young age, children interact with the Early Learning specialist and a Specialist Teacher for Physical Education, Library and Greek Language Programme.
A Specialist Science Programme in laboratories commences for all Middle School students from Year 6 in addition to Physical Education, Music, Greek, Library and IT Development.
Chinese Mandarin and Greek Language classes are compulsory from Year 7 level. Students further their specialist studies with a wide range of Performing Arts; Science; Humanities; Sport; Debating; Art and Design; and Community based programmes, as they proceed through Middle and Senior School.
Alphington Grammar School is situated on a modern attractive campus on the banks of the Darebin Creek and only 6kms from the Melbourne CBD. Over the years a substantial building programme has provided a modern learning resource centre, fully air conditioned classrooms and specialist teaching facilities to meet the needs and demands of education for the 21st century.
The most recent stage of this programme, valued at about $6 million, comprises eight new upper primary classrooms, flexible shared learning areas and The Andrianakos Centre, comprising a stunning muiltipurpose hall with associated facilities for Sport, Physical Education and the Performing Arts. These facilities have taken Alphington Grammar School community to an exciting new level for students of today and tomorrow.
Being a culturally inclusive community, Alphington Grammar School encourages global thinking and educational experiences across the world. Currently a Greek Cultural Tour is being offered every secound year to enhance knowledge and links with Hellenic traditions. A European Arts Tour is also offered to broaden students understanding of different European Masters of Art, Architechture and Streetscapes, in Paris, London and some rural French and English destinations.
Staff have developed professional links with key educators in the USA; Greece; South Africa and Russia and continue to explore opportunities for curriculum development at Alphington Grammar School.
Alphington Grammar School proudly accepts International Students. The majority of our international students originate from China and Hong Kong. However, others have successfully enrolled from Malaysia, Thailand, South Korea, Vietnam, The Middle East and European Countries. We take pride in looking after the welfare of the whole person and strive for them to become happy and proud students of the Alphington Grammar Community, well equiped to succeed and move to their tertiary course of choice upon completing VCE.
