The Secondary years are exciting, creative and challenging years. Everything from robotics to exploring the great Australian outdoors, from learning an instrument to taking to the basketball court, from discoveries in the science labs to producing outstanding art works, from expressive writing or solving complex real-world problems to serving our local community.
And in 2024, our Senior Learning precinct will enable students to learn in a qualification that suits their educational needs. They will have access to the IB Diploma Program, Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE), VCE Vocational Major and VET studies. These options will provide all Year 11 and 12 students access to a Christian Education at the highest quality. |

Hillcrest is distinguished by its wide range of co-curricular programs and opportunities. We encourage all our students to be involved in a range of performing arts, sporting and cultural activities.
Sport is an integral part of life and learning in Hillcrest Secondary. Every effort is made to encourage and provide students with opportunities to be active, healthy young people and to develop and test out their skills across a range of sporting codes and pursuits.
The Performing Arts is one of Hillcrest’s strong suites. We have over a dozen itinerant music tutors who provide lessons for hundreds of students. Secondary has a number of choirs, ensembles and bands, and every year we hold a major musical production.
And Hillcrest students are also provided with a distinctive opportunity; learning to work with, care for and ride horses at Crest’s very own Ayr Hill Equestrian Centre adjoining the College. We are one of the few Colleges in Victoria that has its very own Equestrian Centre providing learning pathways through to VCE. We are a key venue for hosting the Victorian Secondary Interschool show jumping and other competitions. |
