Welcome to St Maroun's College

St Maroun's College is an Independent Catholic Co-Educational school, with a dedicated and professionally qualified staff.

The College philosophy respects the dignity, worth and the rights of each person who are part of the St Maroun's College community.

Building on this philosophy the College provides a wide range of opportunities for students to grow into spiritual, emotional, physical and intellectual maturity so that they can make their contribution to Australian society.

St Maroun's College spirit and ethos is inspired by the rich heritage of the Maronite Sisters of the Holy Family.

Pastoral Care

St Maroun's College student welfare is of great importance to the school. Students have access to Counsellors, Careers Information, as well as a Pastoral Care Program. All Year 7 students participate in the Peer Support Program.

The school also provides and encourages Student Leadership in the form of SRC and Senior School Captains. All students at St Maroun's College have the support and guidance of a Pastoral Co-ordinator.

Excellent Facilities

Our College has a heritage listed chapel, well resourced classrooms, modern computer and Science labs and separate primary and secondary school libraries.

St Maroun's College features a multi-purpose centre, which is used for College assemblies, gym and functions. The school also has a modern school gymnasium.

Academia

The Preschool is dedicated in providing appropriate and stimulating programs to enhance the development of every child. Our learning techniques are child focused and the individual needs of each child are incorporated into the programs delivered by the Preschool.

In the Primary years we offer the Core Subjects, as well as a range of interesting language, Technology and artistic subjects.

In the Secondary years at St Maroun's College, in addition to the compulsory curricular under all the Key Learning Areas set down by the Board of Studies we also offer electives in Music, Computing Studies, Visual Arts, Design & Technology, Drama, Commerce, and Food Technology. The School has a compulsory LOTE program where students study either French or Arabic.

St Maroun's College also caters for Gifted and Talented students as well as students with Special Learning Needs.

Extra Curricular Activities

At St Maroun's College students may participate in Choir, Numeracy and Literacy programs for Year 7 – 10.

Drama activities include an Annual Drama production, Public speaking and Debating.

Year 10 students participate in Work Experience.

Camps are organised for Years 7, 9 and 11 to help with Social Issues, Peer Support, Study Techniques and developing spiritual confidence.

Secondary School Sport

St Maroun's College students are given representative opportunities in sports such as Athletics, Basketball, Cricket, Cross-country, Football, Futsal, Netball, Softball, Swimming, Rugby League, Tennis, Touch Football and Volleyball.
