Wesley College is a leading coeducational, open-entry school. Established over 150 years ago, the College has enriched the lives of thousands of students throughout its history.

The College supports the development of every girl and boy from early childhood years through to Senior School, across 3 campuses.

Tertiary course offers

Many of our Year 12 students have received their first choice university offers from Melbourne's top universities. With nearly 60% of our students attending The University of Melbourne or Monash University, this reflects the high academic standard of teaching and learning at the college.

Curriculum

At Wesley, we offer a comprehensive curriculum, which supports individual learning and enables students to reach their potential. A rich variety of opportunities are offered within an innovative and caring environment. Individual needs are supported through a range of extension and enrichment programs.

Wesley College is a leading International Baccalaureate (IB) and VCE school, and is the only school in Victoria to offer an IB Programme which spans from Primary through to Senior School.

Our world-class IB Programme includes:
• The IB Primary Years Programme (IB PYP) — Three year-olds to Year 6
• The IB Middle Years Programme (IB MYP) — Years 7 to 10
• The IB Diploma Programme (IB DP) — Years 11 and 12

The IB Programme applies Wesley’s ethos of a True Education, providing a balanced approach to learning, with an emphasis on developing the whole person. It aims to instill in our students inquiring, internationally-minded thinking, in order to become active, compassionate, global citizens.

Opportunities at Wesley

Learning in Residence

Wesley’s modern boarding facility, Learning in Residence, is purpose-built for Senior School students in Years 10 – 12, who come from metropolitan Melbourne, rural Australia, and international locations across Asia and South East Asia.

Learning in Residence builds on Wesley’s four fundamental principles of learning; learning to know, learning to do, learning to live with and learning to be, in the real-life context that living and learning in residence provides.

Boarding options

Learning in Residence offers boarding options to suit every family:
• Full-time boarders are resident 7 days and nights a week - an option well-suited to international and regional families.
• Weekly boarders arrive at 8.00am on Mondays and return home at 3.30pm on Fridays - an arrangement that suits many local Melbourne families.

What sets Learning in Residence at Wesley apart?

There are a number of unique features of our Learning in Residence program:
• Full integration into the Senior School- Learning in Residence is situated adjacent to the Glen Waverley Senior School campus with sport, music and drama facilities catering for all interests and needs. The rich Learning in Residence evening and weekend curricula are available to all students – day and boarding.
• Learning side by side in a culturally and linguistically diverse community- Learning in Residence at Wesley fosters a true understanding of our shared humanity and a lived appreciation of the things that unite us. We prepare students to be global citizens with the knowledge, skills, attitude and mindset to participate actively in resolving global challenges and harnessing opportunities.
• A dynamic, stimulating learning space- Learning in Residence provides a supportive context where real-life learning occurs. Rigorous academic mentoring, outstanding pastoral care, and unparalleled cocurricular opportunities develop the whole student - intellectually, emotionally, physically, socially and spiritually.
• Modern living in a safe and secure environment- The contemporary design and build of Learning in Residence reflects the importance of social and cultural engagement. The modern, twin share student residences are located around a central courtyard with access to a 240-seat communal dining room for day and boarding students.
