Welcome to St Luke's College

St Luke's College was first founded in 1987 in response to the booming industries of the region.

As the Pilbara's only private secondary school, St Luke's College caters for close to 400 students from Years 8 to 12, who are from the Karratha township and the surrounding towns of Roebourne, Wickham, Point Samson and Dampier.

Diverse Curriculum

St Luke's College offers a curriculum seamlessly integrated with the local industry, environment and community.

Our curriculum is broad and diverse and offers a range of experiences for all students.

All students study Religious Education, English, Maths, Science, Society and Environment, Physical Education and Health Education. In addition year 8 students rotate through eight units drawn from The Arts, Technology and Language areas.

Year 9 and 10 students can develop their interests in particular areas by selecting four elective units.

Details on the individual faculties and subject programs, including for Years 11 and 12, can be found on the St Luke's College website.

Our Mission & Vision

St Luke's College is a Catholic learning community, developing young people to be the best they can be, make a positive difference in the world and actively live their faith.

Our vision is for St Luke's College to be the school of choice for our community, one of the best schools in Western Australia, and a driving force in the development of the dynamic Pilbara region.

Excellent Facilities

St Luke's College boasts a host of excellent modern facilities.

The computing network extends across the entire campus, with broadband links to the internet. At St Luke's College we have 1:1 ratio ICT policy. With the introduction of Ipads, our students in year 8 & 9 in 2014 utilise Ipads throughout their curriculum.

At St Luke's College there are also three modern and well equipped science laboratories, a dedicated home economics room, music room, a manual arts base with a woodwork and metalwork room and an art studio with an outdoor preparation area and kiln.

The school's Gymnasium and Performing Arts Centre has basketball, volleyball and badminton facilities as well as a performing arts stage. In 2014, the College develop the Performing Arts Centre even further, with the construction of dressing rooms, green room, Astronomy dome and Photography lab.

The College also has it's own playing fields and outdoor hard courts for basketball, netball and tennis.

St Luke's College Motto

"Seek Truth and Justice"

The students at St Luke's College are challenged to know Christ, and in their search for truth, deepen their relationship with Him.

Justice implies that the students at St Luke's College put into practice what they know to be right and good, and use their gifts and talents in the service of others.

St Luke's College Logo

The St Luke's College logo consists of two crosses; one in bold detail and the other smaller cross in silhouette, which are central features of the logo.

The cross is the universal sign of the Christian. The larger cross is the symbol of Jesus Christ, our model, brother and guide. The cross also implies sacrifice for others.
