OUTSTANDING CO-EDUCATIONAL EDUCATION

Pulteney Grammar School is an Anglican School educating girls and boys in the city of Adelaide. It offers a complete education from Early Learning Centre to Year 12 and continues over 160 years of excellence and tradition with a modern and progressive outlook.

The School’s total energy and resources are directed toward the quality of teaching and learning, and the quality of relationships among students, staff, parents and the community.

The current Principal of Pulteney Grammar School is Ms Anne Dunstan

RANGE OF STUDIES

The curriculum from Reception to Year 12 is organised into nine distinct disciplines: English, Mathematics, Science, Society and Environment, Languages other than English, the Arts, Technology, Health and Physical Education, Religion and Values Education.

These disciplines correspond with the National Curriculum and represent the most complete and coherent modes of understanding the world in which students live. This structure facilitates the development of critical, creative and ethical intelligence.

Students in the senior years focus on academic studies in preparation for entrance to university. Most students enter university courses of their first preference.

SPORTS

Pulteney's bridge to the South Parklands connects students to unrivalled sporting facilities - five ovals, twelve tennis courts, a full sized synthetic hockey pitch, basketball and netball courts, all set amongst 18 hectares of green sporting and recreational space. a gymnasium on campus, and boat sheds on the Torrens and West Lakes extend the range of facilities available to every student.

With the city to the immediate north and the parklands opposite, Pulteney is uniquely placed to enrich the lives of students by developing their sporting abilities, recreational interests and sense of physical well-being.

THE ARTS

Our students gain an appreciation for the arts through the knowledge of teachers, all of whom are skilled artists themselves.

Our students have an everyday relationship with the creative and performing arts, as classroom activities are complemented by day-to-day interactions ranging from visiting performances, excursions to galleries and theory-based learnings.

Whatever the level of your child’s creative inclination, there is no shortage of opportunities to keep their sparks flying and minds spinning at Pulteney.

And we are proud to announce that Pulteney Grammar School has been awarded the prestigious 2022 APATA Australian Performing Arts School of the Year Award!
