Twenty three years ago, sisters Jacqui, Karen and Marianne Howard established Brent Street in Sydney. The relentless hard work of these founding members has paid off, with Brent Street winning awards for performance and choreography time and time again, demonstrating that Brent Street is Australia’s leading performing arts school. |

A long way from its humble beginnings in a small church hall, Brent Street is now located in modern facilities in Sydney’s Entertainment Quarter at Fox Studios.
Brent Street features 6 state-of-the-art dance studios with sprung timber flooring. Our studios have full length mirrors, tarkette floor (except Tap), pianos and all the high tech audio equipment to give our students the best sound while they perform. Brent Street also has a fully equipped performance theatre and a singing studio on site. |

There’s no need to compromise traditional school subjects when choosing Brent Street’s Talent Development College. Making the most of academically-alert young minds in the morning, we teach standard high school syllabus classes and then our students finish their day on a high, exploring and developing their creative skills through the performing arts components of the curriculum.
Our school runs a wide range of acting, singing and dancing programs for our secondary students including Ballet, Tap, Hip Hop, Jazz and Lyrical/Contemporary in our dance courses and vocal technique, songwriting and performance in Brent Street’s singing stream. Our drama program takes students on a journey beyond typical high school drama classes into the exciting world of Shakespeare, interpretation, stage craft and camera technique.
We keep student numbers low to ensure students receive the highest quality teaching from our fantastic academic and performing arts teachers. At Brent Street, students learn from the best teachers and choreographers in an environment that fosters elite performance.
Throughout the year, students participate in a variety of public performances that showcase their individual and collaborative works while providing them the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the industry. |
