Our curriculum reflects the Lasallian ethos and culture, with an emphasis on consolidating core knowledge, skills and understanding to support learning and develop a deep understanding about ourselves, others and the wider world. It is designed to be engaging and challenging to foster a culture of excellence, with high expectations and aspirations across the school community. Personal and communal excellence is expected, achieved and celebrated. |

Our teaching and learning framework centres around a practical and creative ICT methodology. Every student in Years 7 – 11 has their own personal netbook, with our Primary and Year 12 students utilising dedicated computer rooms. Our technology is supported by committed teaching staff and the delivery of curriculum through our innovative eLearning platform. This greatly increases student engagement, independence and self-initiated learning in students and extends their learning beyond the classroom. The goal is to develop active and passionate lifelong learners, ready to take their place as valued members of the global community. |

|
Our range of international programs offers our students the opportunity to travel across the globe and enrich their understanding of the world around them. Students gain independence, give back to the local communities and are enriched by these cultural immersion experiences. These programs are designed to raise awareness and help students to gain important insights into interpersonal relationships, varying value systems, differing world views and different social structures. |

Students are encouraged to actively participate in ways that go beyond classroom learning, inclusive of debating, music, sports, giving service to others, entertaining and inspiring. Through our co-curricular programs, they take on new challenges both individually and in teams. De La Salle College has a proud sporting tradition and prominently participates in the Associated Catholic Colleges’ Victorian competition (ACC). Through our rich Music and Drama programs, the Performing Arts are thriving at De La Salle. |

Our school is proud of our academically non-selective, open enrolment policy. We’ve put in place the appropriate infrastructure, support networks, committed teaching staff and technology for all our students to achieve their personal and professional goals, whatever they may be.
We welcome families to see our school in action during our College Tours, held throughout the year. Bookings are essential. Please see our website for full details. |

In 2012, De La Salle College will celebrate 100 years of offering Catholic education to boys in Melbourne.
One hundred years ago the founding Brothers arrived from Ireland and started the first classes in the original campus in Stanhope Street, now the Tramways Museum.
The enrolment of 54 boys that first year has grown both in number and in reputation. Today De La Salle boasts a student population of 1,200 boys spread across two campuses and an alumni of more than 14,000 Old Collegians. This community has shaped our history and the proud tradition that is De La Salle College, Malvern.
Next year the College is planning a variety of events to celebrate this milestone and we invite you to join us in our 100th year. |
