Moreton Bay Boys' College believes in developing not just the mind, but also the heart, and sets the boys on a journey of self discovery, where they learn to connect with and manage the world around them by using a framework based on the MBBC 3Rs - a combination of research, reason and relationships.

Differentiation programming caters to the different academic needs of boys. A dedicated middle school program focuses on the emerging needs of young adolescents. An extensive, flexible range of academic and vocational pathways is offered for seniors (Y10-Y12), which accommodates individual boys’ interests. Y10 students take part in the international self development program, the Duke of Edinburgh, allowing students to develop new skills, connect with others and develop initiative, independence and personal growth. It is not a competition, but a personal challenge, in which boys can choose activities which reflect their interests and passions.

Science programs take advantage of the 5.5 ha nature refuge on campus. MBBC is a Healthy Waterways Award winner and Peter Doherty Science Award winner.

The College is an IB (International Baccalaureate) World School which is an internationally recognised inquiry-based curriculum developing students’ intellectual, personal, emotional skills and broadening the boys’ horizons to live, learn and work in a rapidly globalizing world.
