The King's School, Tudor House

LEADER IN PRIMARY EDUCATION

The King’s School, Tudor House is a co-educational primary school from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6 with the option for students to start their boarding adventure from Year 3. Tudor House is the only school in the Southern Highlands offering the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP).

The School is nestled on 169 acres in the Southern Highlands - one-and-a-half hours south of Sydney. The School provides a nurturing, safe and fun rural environment with a vast range of learning programs inside and outside of the classroom that are unique to Tudor.

FACILITIES

Boarding house, information technology centre, woodwork room, music and drama centre, library, art room, historical buildings, swimming pool, mountain bike track, rugby fields, football fields, cricket facilities, tennis courts, gym, hospital, and memorial hall. Tudor House has a dedicated outdoor education area on campus for ‘Kahiba’ (Tudor’s outdoor ed program) which includes a low ropes course, rock climbing wall, archery range, and a dedicated area for students to camp at school.

BOARDING FACILITIES

At the heart of the 169-acre campus is Medley House, a co-educational boarding house for students in Years 3 to 6.

Medley House has all the comforts of home, facilities for the children to enjoy and dedicated, caring, professional staff.

Whether staying a couple of nights a week or boarding full-time, every child can enjoy their own space as well as the communal areas within the boarding house.

Flexible boarding arrangements are available including full-time, weekday or casual boarding.

OUTDOOR EDUCATION (KAHIBA)

One of the most popular activities at Tudor House is our renowned Kahiba program. With origins in the Cub Scouts movement, outdoor education has been a long-standing tradition of the School and provides students with the opportunity to build resilience, resourcefulness and character.

Every week, Tudor House students have the opportunity to enjoy Kahiba where they participate in activities ranging from canoeing, archery, base building, fire building and management, fishing, first aid, knot tying, tree climbing, orienteering, or competing on the 32 modules of the low ropes course.

There is also a Mini Kahiba program from K-2.

SCHOLARSHIPS AND BURSARIES

The King’s School, Tudor House offers a number of Scholarships and Bursaries annually known as the Jack Egan Awards.

Awards are made based on academic achievement and, where applicable, means-tested (boarding bursaries).
